Meeting Point for Surf Lessons is at Strandhill Surf School on Strandhill beach front. Our premises is the last building on the right hand side of the main road that leads to the beach. Two doors down from The Strand Bar.
Yes, all necessary equipment is included. All you will need to bring is a towel and swimwear.
No, we use high quality 5mm wetsuits and boots all year around. In the colder months we also provide gloves and headgear to keep you extra warm. Gloves and headgear is also available upon request in the summer months.
You are never too old to learn how to Surf!! Under 8 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Strandhill Surf School has the right to refuse any surf participants if the conditions do not look safe. A full refund will be processed if lessons are cancelled due to conditions.
A group surf lesson is a great introduction to the sport of Surfing. Group surf lessons take place 3 times a day and last 2.5 hours. Group surf lessons are a fun and exciting way to get in the water at Strandhill Beach. All Group Surf lessons take place in waist deep water and you will be accompanied by our fully qualified Surf instructors/beach lifeguards. Whether it’s your first time surfing or you just need a refresher, a group surf lesson is a great option.
A private Surf Lesson is a 1 on 1 surf lesson with one of our qualified Surf Instructors. Private Lessons can be done for all levels, so if you’re a beginner, intermediate or advanced surfer looking to improve your skills on a 1 to 1 basis a private lesson is a great option.
Surf lessons last 2.5 hours in total.
Yes, changing facilities with hot showers and toilets are available on site. All belongings can also be stored securely at the Surf School while you are on your Surf lesson.
Booking in advance is advised as spaces are limited, however, it is not required. Bookings can be made on the day on our website or in our Shop in Strandhill.
You will be notified and a full refund will be processed
Deposits are required for groups of 6+ people.
We accept all card payments, cash and Strandhill Surf School gift vouchers.
You are required to arrive 10 minutes prior to your Surf lesson start time.
